Tom Weiskopf was the 1973 British Open Champion, and winner of 26 PGA tour events. When it comes to course architecture, he’s a traditionalist who emphasizes playability, balance and aesthetics in all his designs. Some of his other award-winning courses include Troon North in Scottsdale, Loch Lomond in Scotland, and Castle Pines in Colorado.
Boredom never comes into play at Broken Top Club. There’s no back-and-forth. No sense of déjà vu because every hole has a distinctly different character. There’s an old quarry on number 11, vast views of Broken Top Mountain on 6 and 14, a risky drive on the 9th and a daunting lake on 17.
Our Weiskopf-Morrish course mixes traditional design with modern routing and green complexes. It’s a challenging — but fair — layout that puts equal emphasis on driving, shot making and putting.
When the course opened for play in 1993 it set a new standard for Central Oregon. And it’s only getting better with age. As the centerpiece of all our recreational facilities, it’s the perfect venue for kids, couples, competitive foursomes, or company tournaments. Call Sonja today and ask about equity golf memberships.
